Why the Celtics Need to Trade for Kawhi Leonard

The Golden State Warriors won the NBA Finals. Again. Cleveland got to the championship and lost. Again.

However, this time, things are going to be different. This time, LeBron, the king of the Eastern Conference, the man who has won the Eastern Conference Finals 8 straight times, is in his worst situation yet.

LeBron is now 33 years of age on a team whose roster is simply laughable, which means its time for a new team to come to power in the East.

Enter the Boston Celtics.

Boston has the makings of a championship-caliber team already: stellar management and coaching, a strong and talented core, and a superstar to lead them all in Kyrie Irving.

However, they're going to be facing the Golden State Warriors, a team with a core of 4 All-Stars (including 2 MVPs) and some amazing role players.

Personally, I think they're a piece away from beating this time and I also think that that piece this offseason is either LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, or DeMarcus Cousins.

With that being said, the Celtics should focus on acquiring Kawhi Leonard because LeBron would ruin their chemistry and Cousins would cause too many financial issues to sign.

Therefore, Kawhi Leonard is their best option, and here's why:

A team with 4 All-Stars like Golden State is so difficult to stop because all 4 of these All-Stars are offensive weapons. Each of them seems to be perfectly in sync with the others on the court and since it takes so much to defend each individual player, the others can thrive when one of them is being guarded heavily.

However, this can all change if Boston acquires Leonard without giving up their core of Hayward, Irving, and Horford.

A trade like this (coupled with a few of Boston's future picks), proposed by Mike Korzemba, would accomplish this goal.

The Spurs would acquire a plethora of talent which would allow them to stay in the playoff race for upcoming seasons and begin the formation of a young back court which they could build around for the future.

They could also trade some of these pieces acquired to gain picks or other star-level talent.

For the Celtics, this would give them Kawhi Leonard, a man that the league's best player is scared to play. On the defensive side, Kawhi can play defense on Kevin Durant, a task that has proved difficult for many teams facing the Warriors these past two years. .

Offensively, they would have no problem creating plays with weapons like Leonard, Irving, and Hayward, all capable of averaging over 20 points per game with ease.

If the Celtics want to add to their historic collection of championship banners, they have to trade for Kawhi Leonard.

NBA Talk #1: 5 Moves the 76ers Can Make to Return to the Playoffs

The 76ers, a team which was home to legends like Julius Erving, Allen Iverson, Moses Malone, and many others. The 76ers have had many talented players over the years. However, right now, in 2016, this is certainly not the case. The 76ers finished the 2013-14 season with a 19-63 record. They finished the 2014-15 season with a 18-64 record. They finished the 2015-16 season with a 10-72 record. So, as you can see, the 76ers suck. The management in Philadelphia has been trading away young talent and drafting injury-prone players for the past few years. All of this needs to change. Now, what should they do with this pick? Draft Ben Simmons. Ben Simmons is a 6'10 forward from LSU who has been averaging 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists a game in college. NBA Talk #4: Making the Kings Great Again: John Wall to Sacramento & Lonzo Ball to Washington

The Kings, for the past few years, have been a disappointing team. Ben McLemore never lived up to expectations and DeMarcus cousins has been the only bright spot on the team. However, Cousins is tired of being a below average team and wants to be competitive. Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have not been able to ascend to the next level despite John Wall playing outstanding . Bradley Beal is an excellent scorer as well, but he and John Wall lack the chemistry to succeed . When Wall and Cousins were in college, both of them went to Kentucky and played alongside each other with fantastic chemistry. Wall would average 17 points, 7 assists, and 2 steals a game and Cousins would average 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks a game in the 2009-10 NCAA season at Kentucky. After one year, both of them would advance to the NBA and become stars at the professional level. Well, you might see where this is going. What if John Wall was able to come to Sacramento and join with Cousins to form o...
